This is a Elbaite Tourmaline from Cruzeiro Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Old classic material from the 1980s here, ex Steve Smale collection: Glassy and gemmy with a distinct blue-green body, this elbaite crystal exhibits an intense 5 mm thick red zone at the termination.
