3.8 x 3.8 x 3.0 cm. A great specimen for this locality. A yellow-brown, 3mm, subhedral crystal of malayaite (see photos) located at the terminus of a vug with well-formed crystals of violet-brown, vitreous axinite-(Fe) and white calcite. Fine-grained, disseminated malayaite is also visible in the hedenbergite adjacent to the vug; bright green hedenbergite comprises most of the matrix. Ex. Paolo Matioli collection. Photos by Tom and Melissa Campbell.
