A very aesthetic specimen of calcite from Cabrerets, Lot, France. This occurence is the second best one in France (after Bellecroix, Fontainebleau) to produce such calcite crystals with grains of sand. In Cabrerets sand is yellow- brown with grains much bigger than in Fontainebleau. So crystals are generaly more rough and less perfect. Size: 85 x 80 mm Collection & photo: Alain TUEL
