A beautiful and unusal specimen from the Huanzala Mine. At first glance it just looks like purple fluorite, but upon closer inspection you see that it's actually a thin layer of purple fluorite over white calcite. The underlying calcite appears somewhat tabular in shape - like poker chip calcite, but not quite. There is also some pyrite exposed in places, and a large vein of it is evident along the back. Condition is good with no significant damage. Just some very minor dings on the fluorite, but they're difficult to see with everything going on. The fluorite itself is a thin purple layer approximately 1-1.5mm thick. It is very transparent, so you can see the white calcite through it.
