Beryl (var. Goshenite) and Quartz with Schorl
As recorded:
Gilgit Valley, Gilgit District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
58mm x 55mm x 42mm
A gemmy, clear crystal of Beryl (var. Goshenite) is set in a matrix of cream-colored Albite, and accented with several clear to slightly-milky pristine Quartz points. The Beryl measures 24 x 18 x 13 mm, shows solution effects on the barrel, and has a flat basal pinacoid termination modified by triangular corner faces, and is pristine. The most prominent Quartz point is of a similar size, at 23 x 18 x 17 mm, nicely balancing the specimen. This is an aesthetic piece in perfect condition.ex. Carolyn Seitz collection
