A nice small crystal -1 mm -, tabular, yellow, rich in faces, transparent, on clinochlore. See Exel, R.(1987): Guida mineralogica del Trentino e del Sudtirolo. Athesia, Bolzano, 43 p.:"In the 'Alpe Burgusio are found beautiful crystals of millimetric vesuvianite, transparent and very bright, yellow-greenish or brown, associated with crystals of diopside, hessonite, clinicloro, etc.". See also the figure "I", on page 243 of the book "Alpine and pre-Alpine Minerals" of Gramaccioli, Editions Atlas, taken from Gasser, in which is pictured a crystal of vesuvianite of the same locality Collection and photo of Gianfranco Ciccolini. A nice small crystal - 1 mm in size -, yellow, transparent, tabular, rich in faces, on clinochlore. Quoting Exel, R.(1987): Guida mineralogica del Trentino e del Sudtirolo. Athesia, Bolzano, page 43: "At Burgum Alp [aka Burgumer Alm in German and sometimes reported as Alpe Bargone or Alpe Burgusio in Italian] beautiful, millimetric vesuvianite crystals, transparent and very bright, yellow-greenish or brown, are found associated with crystals of diopside, hessonite, clinichlore, etc.". See also the figure "I", page 243, in the book "Minerali alpini e prealpini", Istituto Italiano Edizioni Atlas, Bergamo, by Gramaccioli (1975), taken from Gasser (1913), Die Mineralien Tirols einschließlich Vorarlbergs und der Hohen Tauern, in which a crystal of vesuvianite of the same locality is represented.
