1.6 x 0.8 x 0.7 cm. A few years ago, some very impressive red chondrodites were found in Afghanistan in the same area where the famous lapis lazuli is mined. This piece features a sharp, well-formed, gemmy (when backlit), red monoclinic crystal of chondrodite from this contemporary discovery.
