“Calcite on marcasite and chalcopyrite with minor dolomite from the Sweetwater Mine, Reynolds Co., Missouri. This one is dated 1974 and is notable for the presence of both pink and green inclusions, likely alterations of chalcopyrite and siegenite (cobaltoan calcite and malachite is a possibility). Specimens like this also came out between 2007-2009, possibly from returning to collect at the original location. Without oxidation, the entire matrix would be gold in color. Green and especially pink inclusions are relatively uncommon for Sweetwater and very rare for the Viburnum Trend in general. ”
