A large cabinet cluster from the Thomasville Quarry. This quarry is well-known for its twins. Sometimes you will see these flatter crystals with striations on the terminal faces twinned along the c-axis like these, and sometimes you will see scalenohedrons twinned on the c-axis as well. I think of the York quarries as the calcite specimen capital of Pennsylvania, especially when it comes to the big specimens and showpieces. Ex. Bruce and Dale Wadleigh collection.
