7.2 x 6.0 x 2.8 cm. Stunning neon-blue color makes this large krohnkite beautiful to look at, but it’s also a solid, super rich example of an extremely rare copper species. This lamellar cluster of vertical crystals grown against one another is truly spectacular. This piece absolutely glows when backlit. The stepped termination is contacted, but has no damage, per se, as do many such specimens that were contacted with the roof of the vug. Rare material in this quality and size from the famous Type Locality, the Chuquicamata Mine of Chile.

A gorgeous sky-blue kröhnkite from the type locality, and this is the only locality so far that has produced these incredible kröhnkite specimens. This piece was acquired from Dr. Rob Lavinsky.
