Description
Groups of octahedral Pyrite crystals with minor cube faces. They are very well defined and bright and are on a rocky matrix coated by small, very acute, scalenohedral Calcite crystals, transparent and bright. The sample is from a not well known Iowa mine. Pint's Quarry, Raymond, Black Hawk County, Iowa  USA Specimen size: 7.5 × 6.5 × 4.3 cm = 2.95” × 2.56” × 1.69” Main crystal size: 0.5 × 0.4 cm = 0.20” × 0.16”
