“An extremely rare specimen of Laumontite from Huelgoat,Britany, France, the type locality where the mineral was first discovered by Gillet de Laumont in 1785, and named by Hauy in 1808.
Laumontite from Huelgoat is not only rare; it is also very sensitive to ambiant atmosphere. This is why the specimen was preserved in a glass flask sealed with grease. I just opened the flask and took the specimen out for the photo.
