How to get rid of green staining on copperLast Updated: 20th Jan 2019

This is actually an interesting concept and doesn't require different types of acids to do this. All you need 8s a can of WD40, which seems to work on the copper green staining like getting rid of rust on metal. One boring day I was in the rock shop and decided to see what types of chemicals would work on differnt minerals, typically the green staining on copper to make it natural. It seems like the green staining on copper is actually a type of brass rust that overlies natural copper ore. I found out that a spray of WD40 quickly removes the green staining on copper ore.
