How to ContributeCan not find my photos when doing search

I have a couple of photos of minerals from the Ford Mine in Arizona in my"My Photos" section, and they have been there for several years. Today I was using the general search pages for Photos and entered Ford Mine and Arizona, and found only one photo from the Ford Mine in Arizona and it was not my photo, any idea why I can not find my two photos, all the data seems to be identical in the description etc. Have I done some setup wrong someplace?

Search doesn't work that way. It doesn't look for individual words in the search string, but looks for the entire string (in the order in which it was entered) in the locality string.

Apparently the keyword search does not look at the locality; the only picture found in your seach happened to have Ford mine in the caption.

I think I have found the problem, I thought it was searching in the Mindat generated location text, but it is actually searching in the text description that I added. After I added Ford Mine, and Arizona to my text it found the photo. For whatever reason it would not locate those same words in the Mindat generated text.

I also have a problem with a photo. I have published a picture of a Rhodizite from the Animie Red Ace pegmatite and till now the photo is not shown at the site! I only can see it when looking through all Rhodizite pictures and when looking at my mindat page.

The locality page's cache was old.

Now it is visible.

I also have a question about searching for photos. Some background: I noticed for a couple of photos I've posted, if I search for one of the minerals listed in the header of the photo (but not the mineral listed first), it doesn't show up. For example, if I look through all the titanite photos, I can find the two photos I posted which list in the header titanite as the first mineral, piemontite (var. strontian piemontite) as the second mineral, and quartz as the third (in this example, the sample is from the Prabornaz mine, Italy). However, when I go to the piemontite page, (or the strontian piemontite page), neither photo shows up. Similarly, on the locality page, clicking the photo icon next to a mineral only shows photos where a particular mineral is listed first in the header. This issue is also not unique to me... I tested this out with other people's photos and noticed the same thing.

So, I guess I'm curious if flexibility to search for additional minerals in the header is planned to be incorporated into the site at some point, or if I'm just not searching in the best way? As these additional minerals are already linked to their respective species home-pages, it doesn't seem to be an insurmountable issue (to my naïve computer programming sensibilities, at least... I may be wrong). I don't want to upload a given photo multiple times just to re-order the mineral list, since that doesn't seem very efficient, and it probably would waste a lot of server space too.

The photo library search offers a way around this issue, but as the photo order seems a bit perplexing, going through the photos to find all the examples from a particular locality isn't easy. I inquire about this in part from a petrologic sense, in that users might be missing out on finding photos (and perhaps discovering mineral associations that may not be obvious from simply the mineral list on the locality page), because the mineral they're interested in isn't listed first in a photo's header (as it may be subordinate to the showy featured crystal the photographer wanted to highlight).

EDIT: oops, I see others have brought up this issue on another thread, and that it's being looked at. So, I guess this post is just adding my voice to the mix.
