"Uvite" from the Tait Farm occurrence has been confirmed to in fact be dravite, by Ercit and Gault, CMN.

See R&M, V82 #3, p.235 for a brief summary of their work on Grenville tourmalines.

There are quite a few photos needing this correction; I'm assuming I don't have to report each one.

Should uvite be changed to strike-out status?
Kelly Nash June 18, 2012 01:33PM
Thanks. I changed the three photos I'd entered for this locality from uvite to dravite. There are about a dozen or so belonging to others that may need to be changed.

Hello Uwe,

Unless someone can come up with a confirmed Uvite I would say yes to striking it out.
Andrew Haighton June 25, 2012 03:50PM
Changed my Uvites to Dravites as well.

Andrew Haighton,
Brampton, Ontario

Thanks Andrew, Messages sent and Uvite struck out

I changed mine. Should have a while back. I need an administrative assistant!
