New Mexico Copper in Selenite

Posted by Rick Dalrymple

I was hoping someone could shed some light on this one. It is labeled copper in selenite from New Mexico. I just don't know where in New Mexico it could have come from.

I purchased another one at the same time and it was labeled "Mission Pit, Tucson, Arizona" which is believable.

I know I am in my own little world, but everyone knows me here.

I'm pretty sure that 99.9% of these specimens come from the Mission Pit. I know of no localities in New Mexico that produce these.

That is what I thought. Thanks for your input. I will add it to mindat as from the Mission pit.
