Here is one I found last year:
Quartz that had grown around Fluorite crystals, the Fluorite having latterly been largely removed, although some relict material was left to confirm the identification.
I wouldn't like to comment as to what mineral the Quartz had grown over in the specimens you have put up the pictures of, but it looks authentic to my eye.

Looking at other fakes I believe druzy's are added more often because they are easier to grow and make some items sell. (That seems to be the case with the fake green quartz out of china since many of those specimens had a core low grade quartz cluster.)

Those are not rack marks on yours, they are something like calcite casts.
Yours is real, not fake.

first photo, near thumb/palm shows a broken cross section of the green crystal. I believe it is tourmaline but it has been etched away. That explains the odd texture not seen before.
