I wonder how many members and or employees of the United Nations even know what crystals are.

Here's a great chance for Mindat to get involved!

just wait until the metaphysical people hear about this.....

5th Jul 2012 04:54 UTCRock Currier Expert

Well, they can petition the UN to make the year also the year of the galacticlly encoded ancestor crystal, and it also will probably be approved. Perhaps they could program it so that everyone there would act in a rational manner.

Actually, we probably don't need to worry about it......most of the "metaphysically inclined" are going to be "taken up" in December of this year (2012) anyway......

In fact, Rock, several members of the New York Mineralogical Club are current employees of the United Nations. This has been true for as long as I have been a member (20 years now). International delegates and foreign representatives frequently attend our meetings and there is usually a large contingent of them at the New York City Gem & Mineral Show.

Several of them have kept their membership current with the NYMC even through they have retired back to their native nations or transferred to other worldwide diplomatic posts.

Cheers.
