As an aside, if this swap had been moving a bit faster, I could have saved postage and handed a box to Keith in person as he had a quick trip down to Tasmania a short while back!

I for one am not impressed.
It would not take much to post a message to indicate where the package is - or why it hasn't progressed.
It is now 2 months since it was allegedly being on forwarded.
Cheers

The thrill, suspense and expectation and wonder has now gone.
Think I'll go read one of my new (but old) mineral books (Emeralds and other Beryls).

Well some time ago I had read "Tin at Tingha" (interesting) and the Minerama issue featuring Cassiterite (a bit boring) and
Tin Deposits of Durango Mexico (another interesting read), but I have only just acquired Sinkankas' Emeralds and other Beryls book and I am enjoying the read.

"got the box yesterday afternoon...everything was packaged and labeled quite professinally....good job....keepin 4 probobly...neat stuff...will be sending it down the pipeline friday to rob"
sent him a follow up email but no response, ?????
Eddy,
do you want me to start this off again, it will take a week or so, work and health issues have put me behind with exchanges for about three weeks as it is. I do not want to see this die a painful death
Cheers

I am next on the list, and would be happy to start a new box of eight. I will be away this weekend, but will have no problem getting it out next week. I think the4 next on the list is Steve Sorrell. Eddy - it's up to you.

I have the utmost admiration of people like Bob who have the time, skill and patience to present micros in the way these are presented.
The quality of the specimens is very good too.
Thanks Bob!

Keith, every specimen came through without damage, including the crocoite. Thank you for it and the natrolite. The natrolites are a bit larger and thus better detail than what we usually find around here.
Bob R. I had never seen fine, needle-like, doubly terminated wulfenites. Thank you.
I don't know who included the cassiterites from Cornwall and Tasmania, but Thank you. I appreciate them!
Looking forward to the next round.

That would be me Don. I was being a bit smart. I know that Keith is particularly fond of cassiterite so I included a few different ones. He kept some and passed on others.

The time it takes for these packages to arrive is a riddle to me... sometimes it just takes 3 days and sometimes 3 weeks. Airmail or not...
I recently sent a little box to Stuart Mills in Canada. Took almost two months... a mystery to me!
Will comment on the rocks as soon as I can Don!

So from 16 June to 16 November that package travelled the globe.
Although I guess not the original - as the original appears to have gotten lost permanently and then replaced.
But hey 5 months to visit 8 people.
Not too bad.
