Mineral ShowsBoston Mineral Club Annual Auction, January 23, 2016, Newton, MA, USA

16th Jan 2016 22:07 UTCStephan Segedy

If you live in or plan to be in the greater Boston area this coming weekend, I invite you to attend the Boston Mineral Club auction! Our annual fundraising and social event has become a New England tradition, and is a great way to break up the winter season as we await better collecting weather. The auction is open to the general public. It is not only an opportunity to acquire mineral specimens, equipment, publications and other related items, but also, a chance to meet and reconnect with other mineral enthusiasts.

The program features both a silent auction, and a voice auction of donated and consignment lots. Collectors at all levels will take home unique treasures and there are always bargains to be found!

The auction will be held on January 23, 2016 at the:

American Legion Nonantum Post 440,

295 California Street,

Newton, MA 02458

If you would like to donate items or lots, the drop-off window is from 9 AM - 11 AM. We thank you in advance for your support!

Registration also begins at 9 AM.

Specimen viewing begins at 11:30 and the auctions generally run from 12 noon forward, with the Silent Auction ending about 2:00 PM and the Voice Auction winding up around 5:00 PM.

Further information including a preview selected voice auction items, and also driving directions may be found here:

Hope to see you there!

Best,

Stephan
