Dump and level, Camdwrbach

The site of this mine is extremely spread out and this may have instead been part of the Bryn-yr-Afr mine. The dump is however without mineralisation except for isolated pieces of dolomite coated in iron precipitate. The line of reeds cutting the fence leads back to a flooded level as shown on the 1905 Ordnance Survey map.

A view taking in the general view of the mine. The dumps along the right bank have been excavated for material to make the track which is consequently abundant in galena. The wheel pit is in the lower middle portion of the photo marked by the upright rods. The adit is missed for this photo on the left hand side above the track.

The main tip is the brown discoloured patch just left of centre of the photo. Wheelpit and Incline, Hafan Mine

An overview of the site with the wheelpit in the centre, finger dumps in the valley and foot of the tram incline left of the wheel pit. The tram line connected through to Bwlch Glas mine which is the patch of grey spoil on the distant hillside above the bright green trees.
The Blaencwmsymlog Workings, Cwmsymlog Mine
Cwmsymlog Mine, Goginan, Trefeirig, Ceredigion, Wales, UK
These are the oldest workings on the mine from the 1600s and 1700s. A quick sweep of the tips did not however yield any notable mineral samples. Llyn Pendam, one of the reservoirs for the mine is just behind the section of bare hillside.
