EHV-0PUCalcite (Var: Manganoan Calcite)

N'Chwaning Mines, Kuruman, Kalahari manganese field, Northern Cape, South Africa

7 x 4 x 4.5
A fabulous new find from this classic locality, this manganocalcite is formed of a mass of light pink sprays. The pink calcite seems to have attached itself to white string like crystals which could possibly be quartz or calcite. This is an amazing looking specimen, which fluoresces under UV light too.
