Dimensions: 7.5 cm x 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm

A rich mass of Chalcocite on quartz with minor malachite, from Pine Mountain, Iron Springs, Adams Co., Pennsylvania. From a one time find by Joseph A. Dague in the early 2000's. Some native silver was directly associated with the chalcocite from this occurrence, silver being a fairly rare species for Pennsylvania. Specimen size: 7.5 x 4.5 x 3.5 cm. From the PA Annex of my personal collection, acquired in 2005.

Brownish crystals of Ferroan Magnesite var. Breunnerite in Steathite matrix with minor black magnetite octahedrons from the Prince's Soapstone Quarry, Lafayette, Philadelphia Co, Pennsylvania. An old 19th C. cobbled specimen with original pen and ink paste label on reverse, including an old Hugh Ford label, acquired from Larry Conklin. Specimen size 9 x 5 cm. National Limestone Quarry No. 2, Lime Ridge, Mount Pleasant Mills, Perry Township, Snyder Co., Pennsylvania, USA

Dimensions: 11 cm x 8 cm

Thin crust of Turquoise (unanalyzed: possibly Turquoise/Planerite series) which occurs in fracture seams in typical buff colored limestone. Matrix also exhibits fossil imprints of devonian era bi-valves. Specimen from the National Limestone Quarry, Lime Ridge, Lime Ridge, Perry twp., Snyder Co., PA. Specimen size 11 x 8 cm. Field of View: 4 inches

Crystalline massive Smoky Quartz and blackish bronze Hyperthene xtls in Brandywine Gneiss "Blue Rock". A dimensional stone quarried from the Petrillo Quarry, Wilmington, New Castle Co., Delaware in 1943, the latter part of the quarries production of larger stone. Originally known as the Shellpot Quarry, it produced a superior quality of the local blue stone with little variation, and was never known as a "specimen producer". Area of view approximately 4 inches across.

Massive specimen of Microcline var. "Amazonite" from Mineral Hill, Elwyn, Middletown Twp, Delaware Co., Pennsylvania. This deposit produced a very good quality stone with fairly translucent deeply colored greenish blue Microcline and sharply defined pertite banding, quite distinctive from other well known U.S. East Coast Amazonstone found at Morefield, VA Franklin, NJ or Valhala, NY. Specimen size: 8.5 x 3.5 x 4.5 cm. From the PA Annex of my personal collection, acquired in 2008.

Nesquehoning Coal Mine, Nesquehoning, Lansford, Carbon Co., Pennsylvania, USA

Dimensions: 2.5 cm x 1.7 cm x 1.8 cm

A stalactite of former lansfordite (now nesquehonite), exhibiting some crystal faces near the termination, atop a bed of primary nesquehonite crystals which formed as a result of the alteration of lansfordite to nesquehonite. The original appearance of this stalactite would have been translucent and waxy prior to its alteration. From the No. 1 Tunnel of the Nesquehoning Coal mine, Lansford, Carbon Co., Pennsylvania. Ex.
