Mt Oldoinyo Lengai, Arusha Region, Tanzania

Alumoåkermanite from the type location Oldoinyo Lengai (Tanzania), collected in 2003 in a riverbed near the volcano. Specimen size is 14 mm. This mineral is a major phase in Oldoinyo Lengais highly evolved peralkaline combeite-wollastonite nephelinites.
