Ulyanovsk, Ulyanovsk Oblast, Russia

Some times inside of clay nodule we can find amazing green "peacock" pyrite. We call it rainbow pyrite septaria. Small sizes, fine micro-crystals 0.3 - 0.6 mm cover the matrix like a carpet. Shape of crystals is good, and color is bright and clean. Size of specimen is about to 12.5 cm in diameter.
