St. Jakob, Katarina Mountain, Ljubljana, Slovenia

Small crystals of second generation calcite from a small vug in silicified concretion from clay strata. Also some pyrite crystals embedded in quartz matrix is visible at the top of the specimen.
Collected in 2008 during pyrite occurrence at Katarina Mt. research is a good example for mineralogical sequence determination. Size of specimen is 5×4 cm.
