Niels Genne's Photo Gallery

RQD-FRMStrontianite, Calcite

Multiple photos available
Oka complex, Oka, Deux-Montagnes RCM, Laurentides, Québec, Canada

Dimensions: 78 mm x 54 mm x 17 mm
Field of View: 20 mm
Largest Crystal Size: 3 mm

I used my super macro lens Schneider Optics which is supported exclusively by an iPhone 5.

About the mineral, it was found on a calcite vein in a rocks field, at the top of the field. The first white mineral you see is the strontianite and the others you can see (like a velvet touch) is the calcite.
