Wulfenite

8.8 x 3.8 x 2.2 cm

A rare specimen of prismatic elongated wulfenites of a caramel color are nested on a base of massive tennantite from the Khusib Springs Mine.

It should be noted that sharp and spiky wulfenite bipyramids of this type have often been erroneously sold as Tsumeb mimetites.

Specimens from the Khusib Springs Mine are rarely seen on the market as the mine never produced many specimens and was abandoned in 2004.

Fluorite
Apatite

Erongo Mountains

6.5 x 5.7 x 3.1 cm

A group of dark purple fluorite with stepped edges in association with light blue green apatite from the Erongo Mountains.

While quite a number of specimens were produced from this find, most were highly damaged and only a small fraction were found in association with apatite.

This particular specimen is well formed and relatively free of damage – also it is less massive and more lustrous than most specimens and was some aesthetic balance to it.
It is further enhanced by the association with apatite which reaches up to 1.8 cm in size.
