Magadiite - white, compact, powdery aggregate ~15x10 mm in (upper middle of photo) from a marble xenolith cavity with pectolite matrix, and small dark magnesio-arfvedsonite. Aggregate of bladed crystals, collected in 1981 and for more than 30 years were catalogued as serandite.
Confirmed as schizolite in 2017 by XRPD, structure analysis and EMPA.

Tabular crystal 3.2 cm across, the damaged crystal in the background is 6 cm (!) across, from a marble xenolith. The damaged (incomplete) crystal is the largest known from the locality.

This is a quick & dirty photo of 2 paranatrolite specimens in our collection, which have been preserved in water for more than 25 years. I was compelled to post this photo since nobody else bothered to post one. If the specimens were removed from the water and kept dry, they would turn in a few days into pseudomorphs of opaque, white gonnardite (former tetranatrolite).

Bladed shkatulkalite crystals in cavity in a hydrothermalite, found in 1995. At the time the mineral was unknown and was only described a year later (Menshikov et al. 1996) from Mount Alluaiv, Lovozero. This is from the first lot of XRD- and EDS-identified specimens (Min. Rec. 29, 110, Fig. 41).

Fresh blast in May 2011 at the North end of the quarry exposed an interesting zone with rich-specimens of hilairite, tsepinite-Na, labuntsovite-Mn, sazhinite, thornasite and others. The photo was taken 2011 May 26.
