It comprises of white Quartz containing rich dark brown Cassiterite in Tourmaline peach. Pit located approximately half a mile SSW of Rattlebrook mine.

A small but pretty Cassiterite from Curbeam Tin pit on the Rattlebrook River, Lydford, Dartmoor. Specimen comprises of a scattering of small dark sharp crystals of Cassiterite in an opened small Quartz vein in a fine compact orange coloured granite. Crystals up to 1mm. Curbeam pit is approximately 1/4 of a mile from Ratllebrook Mine on Rattlebrook Hill.
