Mischa Crumbach's Photo Gallery

T6V-E88Anatase, Clinochlore

Blau lake, Saflisch Valley, Binn Valley, Valais, Switzerland

Field of View: 5.2 mm

It is so easy to be fooled by distorted crystals: this flattened anatase crystal looks a bit like a brookite, just because the c axis is not aligned in vertical direction when looking at it this way, but is oriented horizontally.

I collected the piece August 23rd 2004.

Picture taken with Zeiss V20 (Achromat 1.5x objective), Sony alpha7 mounted on LMscope achromatic adapter, Helicon Pro.

Kriegalp Valley, Binn Valley, Valais, Switzerland

Field of View: 1.1 mm

From the Cu-Fe-Mo-Pb-Zn mineralization described in:
VAN DER BURGT A., CUCHET S., DE WIT F. (2015): Eine klassische aber für das Binntal aussergewöhnliche Mineralisation. Schweizer Strahler 2015, Nr. 3, pages 2-14.

Collection Stephane Cuchet.
