A large Trevaunance Cove cobble that has been sliced and polished to show off white coloured dough tin which is shot through with fine veins of beige coloured wood tin, the lower section is rich in brown cassiterite in a quartz chlorite matrix.

One of the larger specimens collected in 2016. Transparent cannonite crystals growing on bismuthinite crystals, the white platy mineral growing on some of the bismuthinite crystals was analysed and confirmed as kettnerite.

Circular rosettes of fluorite to approximately 25 mm diameter on the quartz and topaz coating on the joint plane of the matrix.

Small zoned fluorite crystals can be seen under magnification

Very small cassiterite crystals on the rear of the specimen.

Typical of a the material found in the South Goss Moor alluvial deposits.

The specimen was polished by myself.

Rich wood tin on a quartz chlorite matrix, small areas of chalcopyrite and bismuth throughout the matrix.

The wood tin is 28 mm in width. A lucky find in 2019 as it looked like goethite when covered in dump growth.

Cassiterite replacing a large 70 mm long feldspar crystal in a quartz vein that has pierced the breccia matrix.

Collected in the winter of 2016 from an alluvial terrace that was washed out by flood water, cut and polished 2019.
