Extraction works of limestone blocks.

In the clefts and contacts of this stratigraphic series there are calcite mineralizations on which Herkimer quartz are found.
At times the quartz grows directly on the limestone practically as floater specimens or with a bit contact to the matrix.

5 cm width cobaltoan calcite nodule. This kind of specimens, very rare , were extracted in a marginal area in the mine with roofs and galleries collapsed, shortly after inaccessible by cave-ins.
