Friar Intake mine, viewed from across the other side of the valley. The huge low level dump can be seen amongst the trees. The shaft dump can be seen next to the dry stone wall just below the trees standing in the middle of the gill. A series of bell pits lie just to the north of the shaft working. Another small dump from the level. This one lies on the opposite side of the road in a small field, which is on private property. The larger main dump can be seen behind it with the Reeth to Gunnerside road running between them.
