Quartz-molybdenite vein in greisen. Wall boulder near quarry in granite with similar greisen veins. Vein is about 10cm across. Photo taken in 1982.
Greisen in small granite stock (apophysis of Bennachie Granite) containing small sheaves of molybdenite. Scale in cm on photo. Collected in 1989 during mineral exploration in the area. Larger molybdenite samples can be found in quartz veins up to 1 metre across in the wall stones within 1 -2 km of this ocurrence.
