Dimensions: top specimen 1.5" x 1.5" x 1", bottom 2" x 1" x 1". Two pieces of the chalky chartreuse-colored clay mineral nontronite.

Field of view is 2.5 mm. Collection of Jesse Crawford. The depth of field has been enhanced using Helicon Focus (3 exposures). Equipment: Nikon D-100 on a homemade microscope. The untarnished surface of the copper in this specimen is preserved because it's embedded within a plate of gypsum.

This specimen consists of a complex crystal of Selenite (rather than a single cleavage) that hosts a rich showing of both crystalline native Silver and wires of native Silver. There are both exposed crystals as well as included crystals visible on nearly every side of the specimen. Specimen size is 4.25cm x 2.9cm x 2.38cm.

These Copper included Gypsum specimens are very old material and almost never seen for sale these days. Even harder to obtain are specimens that are as richly included by Copper as this one is. This Gypsum is overloaded with with dendritic Copper crystals. A fine example from this historic location. specimen size = 9 x 3.8 x 1.3 cm.
