Perfect glassy calcite rhombohedron measuring 30 mm on the edge collected at Sasso di Castro. In this locality calcite is commonly found in veins and the crystals are broken but in this case the calcite crystals were perfectly cleaved inside a clay pocket, producing beautiful transparent Iceland spar-like crystals.
