Krieselite

Small spheres composed of acicular needles of krieselite on tennantite-germanite matrix. Specimen has been analyzed. Brent Thorne specimen and photograph.

In the center there is a light yellowish group of Philipsbornite crystals surrounded and rimmed by whitish to light greyish Krieselite. To the left and the right of the Philipsbornite even ball-like aggregates of Krieselite are visible. Other minerals in this association are Hematite, Chalcosite and partly etched Quartz. Tiny yellow Philipsbornite crystal with even tinier, pale white crystals of Krieselite. This sample has been analsyed using EDX and as per the type material, contains no Gallium. Photo and Specimen Liam Schofield
