The Cabaçaco is a small garimpeiro's village located around some small pits of quartz extraction near to Jequitinhonha River.
Couto de Magalhães de Minas is located 30 km of Diamantina, a classic location of mineral exploration in Brazil (see: Gems & Gemology Vol. XLI summer, 2005 p. 194) since 1714 for diamonds.
