An uranothorianite deposit worked as an open pit mine situated 2km south of Ambatomika and 8 km south of the village Tranomaro in the southeastern part of Madagascar.
A lens of diopsidite (pyroxenite) about 100 m long and up to 25 m wide (in the center) was worked for uranothorianite. The mining started in 1956, and it was stated exhausted in 1966.

Coordinates are approximately, based on the map of Brenon (1957).
