Lake Fellmongery is a natural lake, about 600 metres by 200 metres, occupying a shallow depression in the Robe Dune. It is surrounded by calcareous beach rock.
The monohydrocalcite occurs as aggregated pellets (individual pellets are 0.5-2.0 mm across) forming beach rocks around the shore line of the lake.
