Zn, Au, Ag mine, closed in 1988. Kuroko massive sulfide deposit.
Rakkejaur is one of the bigger deposits in the so called Skellefte-field. It was mined as an open pit 1965-70, mining ceased in part cause of the technical problems to get a good concentrate. "Ore" contain appr 1ppm Au, 45 ppm Ag, .3% Cu, 2.3% Zn, 1.6%As and 27% S- but good amounts ~17 Mton.
16 valid minerals.
This geological map and associated information on rock units at or nearby to the coordinates given for this locality is based on relatively small scale geological maps provided by various national Geological Surveys. This does not necessarily represent the complete geology at this locality but it gives a background for the region in which it is found.
