Geologia da Ocorrência
Tipos: Ocorrências de Antimónio - Filonianas e stockwerks em metassedimentos Precâmbricos e/ ou Câmbricos, Ocorrências de Estanho e/ou Volfrâmio - Ligadas a granitos - Filões, Ocorrências de Ouro - Filonianas, stockwerks e massas silicificadas em metassedimentos paleozóicos, afectados por cisalhamentos, carreamentos ou desligamentos tardios
Descrição Geológica: Estruturas filonianas em faixa de terreno com 1,2 km de extensão, mineralizadas com antimonite, volframite e algum ouro nas zonas de Vale das Gatas, Casalinho, e Barroca da Santa. A brecha filoniana das Gatas, contida em corredor de cisalhamento com 1,5 a 2m de espessura, orienta-se N 35º a 40º E e 30º a 40º SE num andamento de 300 m com 0,6 a 0,7 m de possança; nesta zona ocorrem ainda 2 diques felsíticos orientados N 30ºa 40º W que afloram 200 m com 7 m de possança. Em Casalinho, o filão principal orientado N 15º E e 30º E num comprimento de 50 m com 1,2 m de possança e o secundário posi-cionado N 50º E e 30º SE, ocupam zonas de cisalhamento. Na Barroca da Santa o filão mineralizado com uma extensão de 170m, orienta-se N 5º E e 30ºE. Filões de quartzo com antimonite e volframite, estando os principais orientados N20º E e 30º a 35º E. Na Barroca Santa ocorrem filões de quartzo e dique felsítico com antimonite e algum ouro.
