A former pocket lode Au mine located in the E½ sec. 26, and in sec. 35, T1S, R15E, MDM, 1.6 km (5,100 feet) W of Big Oak Flat, and N of Priest (about ½ mile NW of Priest, between the old Priest grade and state highway 120). The property is comprised of 2 claims, both discovered in 1894. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. The Criss Cross and Relief claims are on the SE.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate. The ore body strikes NW and dips 80-90NE at a thickness of 0.61 meter. Gold ore was found in black slate, at the contact of, or near felsite dikes which cut the formation. Considerable ore was also found along a fault that dislocated a small quartz vein. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings comprised of several adits, the longest of which was 300 feet. There were also several short drifts, winzes and stopes.
