Granitoid-related gold deposit, hosted at the margin of the Mesozoic Linglong granite that intrudes gneiss and amphibolite of the Archean Jiaodong Group. Gold occurs in altered and fractured rock in networks and as disseminations. Extensive K-feldspar, sericite, silica, beresite, and carbonate alterations occur. The deposit is controlled by the Jiaojia-Xincheng fracture zone, parallel to which the main deposit occurs. It is up to 800 m long and 70 m wide, and extends downdip to more than 1000 m. The mineralization temperatures range from 150°C to 450°C and the pressures from 60 MPa to 120 MPa.

The deposit has been mined since the 1960s.
