Calciphyre blocks disseminated in morainic deposits.

The mineral assemblage (clintonite, fassaite, spinel, epidote, aragonite, calcite, chlorite, biotite and chalcopyrite) of some blocks, found also at Vedretta del Gran Zebrù (see http://www.mindat.org/loc-259763.html) in Cedec Valley (Lombardy), seems to indicate the same origin, i.e. an outcrop probably located in the area of Passo della Bottiglia (Königsjoch) (see http://www.mindat.org/loc-259789.html) and in any case along the watershed between Cedec and Solda valleys (Tomasi, 1940 and 1950; De Michele, 1968; Scaini, 1972). Therefore, these minerals are listed here and at the two above mentioned localities.
