Ref.: The Iron Mines of New Jersey (1910), Bayley:11, 320; NJ State Geol. Annual Rpt. (1880):110 & 124. An iron mine in magnetite ore located near Glen Gardner. Started 1880 and produced a total of 224 tons of ore. Ore vein was 5 to 7 feet (1.6 to 2.1 meters) wide. Workings featured 3 pits 50 feet apart.
