A chromite mine in serpentine country rock, but only about 75 meters away from a contact with granite. Located between 1,620 to 1,680 meters elevation, SE of Cromo, south of El Rancho. The upper workings, La Paz 1, include a surface trench and an adit; the lower workings, La Paz 2, consist of an adit about 50 meters downhill from La Paz 1.
