A former Fe mine in magnetite ore located about 2 to 3 miles SE of Ogdensburg in Sparta Twp. Worked in the 1879 - 1883 timeframe. Featured 2 shafts to 270 feet (90 meters) deep. One of the Ogden group of mines.
The Roberts mine was overprinted, in part, by the Roberts cut, one of 2 main producing quarries of the Edison mine, in the 1890's.
