A Cu occurrence/prospect located in sec. 31, T10S, R12E, about 6 miles W of S from Owl Head Buttes, on private land.

Mineralization is hosted in Samaniego Quartz Monzonite. The deposit consists of a two foot wide vein with chalcopyrite gossan and moderately stained with chrysocolla. The ore zone strikes N60W and dips vertically. The entire area shows extensive but probably low grade copper gossan with light pyrite. Alteration is pervasive chloritization with fracture linings of epidote and sparce sericite selvages on the quartz veins.
